Holy Macaroni! This could possibly be THE best "Chocolate" SuperSmoooothie to be created in our kitchen to date! Best of all its dairy, gluten, refined sugar (come on, you know the drill) and can be vegan friendly.
Maca - Is wonderful for thyroid, hormonal and adrenal support; improvement in bone density for osteoporosis, hormonal issues such as PCOS, PMS and menopause; chronic fatigue syndrome and is even referred to as 'nature's answer to viagra' (you're welcome). Rich in minerals, vitamins and protein!
- 1-2 tbs raw cacao.
- 1-1.5 tsp maca.
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
- 1 small banana (frozen + peeled, obviously - we're not complete weirdos here).
- 1/2 a small avocado (please see note above) for healthy fats which are excellent for blood sugar regulation.
- 1-1.5 cups coconut milk depending on desired thickness (I used Coco Quench due to its consistency).
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes.
- 1 tbs cacao nibs.
- 1-1.5 tbs raw honey (or vegan alternative).
- 1.5 cups of ice
